In her new book, Giving Up Is Unforgivable, Vance walks us through our current moment and mandates that we act now to save our democracy. Professor Justin Levitt, at LMU Loyola Law School, is a national expert on the law of democracy. He served as the White House’s inaugural Senior Policy Advisor for Democracy and Voting Rights, and previously helped lead DOJ’s Civil Rights Division on voting rights and employment discrimination. He has published widely and testified before federal and state legislative and administrative bodies and courts; before academia, he served on several presidential campaigns and at several civil rights nonprofits. Levitt has advised and represented citizens and officials of both major political parties and neither, and those whose partisan preference he does not know.
