About the Workshop
This session of Write Stuff invites you to explore the erotic as a site of power, pleasure, and resistance. Lust and Liberation: Writing Erotic Poetry for Social Justice guided writing prompts, curated readings, and open discussion, we’ll examine how sensual expression connects to justice, identity, and liberation.
Inspired by poets like Audre Lorde and June Jordan, we’ll write boldly from the body — not in shame or secrecy, but in celebration. Together, we’ll uncover how the erotic lives within us as a creative force, a truth-teller, and a tool for collective freedom.
Whether you’re a seasoned poet or just beginning your journey with words, this workshop offers a safe and affirming space for all identities and experience levels.
