Write NOW!
This professional learning community brings together K-8 educators to improve student writing outcomes through collaborative practice and evidence-based strategies. The group meets 6 times throughout the school year to share successful teaching methods, analyze student work, and develop grade-appropriate writing instruction that progresses from foundational skills in early grades to complex composition in middle school.
Participants will focus on teaching the complete writing process, implementing differentiated instruction for all learners, and providing effective feedback that promotes growth.
The PLC emphasizes building a cohesive K-8 writing program where students experience consistent, high-quality instruction across grade levels. Success is measured through improved student writing scores, increased teacher confidence, and sustained implementation of research-based practices that create lasting improvement in the school's writing program.
