About this event

Centering Black and other racially marginalized voices and stories. Spreading elbows to make room for those at the intersection of marginalized gender, attraction, and race.

White voices are welcome AND will never dominate here. If you are White and considering joining, please be sure that you are prepared to make space and take less. Write. Listen. Validate. And bring an offering.

This space is held by Dana Hudson (they/he), also known as Great Dane in poetry. I have over 10 years of experience in youth and leadership development, as well as, facilitating spaces for learning and creative expression. You’ll have to join in to find out more.

This is the second iteration of “On Sundays, We Write”. It is designed for anyone who wants to write more. If body doubling helps you get things done, this could be a great place for that as well. Come and write your to-do list for the week ahead, or journal. You do not have to consider yourself to be a writer to be here. There will be space made for optional sharing. Maybe you are workshopping something and would like to have some ears on it, come read it to us!

Research has shown that by Sunday afternoon, the Monday dread starts to set in. With the cooler/colder months approaching, I see this as an opportunity to have an hour each week where you can check in, write, release, vibe, and feel connected to the community.
