What will happen in the class sessions?

Students will be provided with a short, engaging lesson about the craft of planning and creating a graphic novel. We will discuss ideas, practice skills, and offer feedback to each other. They will then be given time to work on their novels with their peers.

What materials will they need?

All materials will be provided! However, if the children would like certain materials, perhaps a favorite pen or marker, they are welcome to bring them.

When will the author event be?

We will select a date for the author event after the books are complete. Once we have a finished product, we will be able to determine how long the publishing process will take. Likely, the date of our author signing will be at least one month after the completion of the class.

Will my child make money on their book?

YES! Because we are publishing and selling the book, your child can expect to make a small portion on each sale. The more books they sell, the more they make. Exact numbers on this will be determined after we determine the cost of the book.
