About this event

Arts • Literary Arts

Join us for a powerful and inspiring writing workshop with writer, therapist, and blindness advocate Jeanetta Price. Through guided prompts and exercises, Jeanetta will help you use words to activate peace, love, and healing. While at the Center for Creativity, you’ll also have the chance to experience Please Touch the Art—an exhibition engaging all five senses, with a special focus on artists and visitors who are blind or visually impaired. This workshop is free and open to the public; registration is strongly encouraged.

Jeanetta Price is the editor of The Write 2 Heal, an anthology featuring essays by ten blind women of color sharing their journeys of resilience. The collection was endorsed by motivational speaker Les Brown. When she’s not writing or presenting workshops, Jeanetta is the program manager for Prevent Blindness, a licensed professional counselor with Gulf Coast Healthcare in Texas, and the founder and CEO of Blind Girl Magic, a platform that empowers blind and visually impaired individuals.

The Center for Creativity thanks the TCC Foundation for sponsoring Jeanetta Price’s visit to Tulsa as part of the Please Touch the Art exhibition programming.
