About this event

Arts • Literary Arts

Wrestling with Prose is a Generative Workshop Series taught by J.B. Stone. We'll explore various prompts that will encourage us to build our work of fiction through the lens of building a professional wrestling storyline. Throughout this series each class will focus on building our outline from character & dialog sketches to scene setting prompts. This structure can be applied to a short story, a novel, or a novella.

For students of all ages and stages of their writing career. The objective is to walk out at the end of this series with a work of prose that utilizes the outlining process to your work. It doesn't matter what a student's feelings toward professional wrestling are, fan of this little world or not, the techniques used translate to the craft of putting together a great work of fiction. You will craft a story that not only convinces readers to believe in, but yourself as well.

The 5 part series runs every Monday from November 3 - December 1. By purchasing a ticket you will be registered for all 5 dates.
