Overview

A Queer Plaster Sculpting Night Led by Tan Jazz Mont (he/him) Hamburger Mary’s Wednesday, January 14, 2026 530-8pm

Wrap & Slay is a beginner-friendly, hands-on plaster sculpting workshop where everyday objects become bold, campy works of art.

Hosted at Hamburger Mary's Ontario this queer-centered art night invites participants to wrap real objects using plaster bandage, build sculptural texture, and finish their pieces with paint and acrylic markers.

Led by artist Tan Jazz Mont (he/him), the workshop focuses on experimentation, play, and creative freedom — no prior art experience required.

What we’ll do:

  • Wrap real objects using plaster bandage
  • Build structure and sculptural texture
  • Paint and embellish with acrylics and markers
  • Create a finished, one-of-a-kind sculpture to take home

What to bring:

  • One small-to-medium object to wrap(chips bag, soda can, bottle, toy, or other funky find)
  • Curiosity and willingness to get a little messy

Please avoid fragile or sentimental items.

  • Paint and acrylic markers
  • Guided demonstration and instruction
