Join us as we learn the importance of Cal/OSHA's standards and guidelines, and how not to violate them. We will be discussing why Cal/OSHA enforcement shows up and what to do when it happens. We will also cover the Injury and Illness Recovery Program and why everybody needs one. We will address new regulations that may affect your workplace, the top 10 citations to avoid, and how to schedule a Cal/OSHA consultation which is free and confidential.

Speaker:
Gary McIver is a Senior Safety Engineer with the Department of Industrial Relations. He has over 30 years' experience in health and safety including eight years in private industry; nine years as an associate safety engineer for Cal/OSHA; six years as a Cal/OSHA Region 2 enforcement senior safety engineer; eight years as a senior safety engineer for Cal/OSHA consultation, public outreach, technical resource, and the California Voluntary Protection Program. Gary has investigated more than 300 serious accidents and over 100 fatalities over the course of his career.
