About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

What if the worlds we imagine through fiction could help shape the one we live in?

Join author Jay VanLandingham for a unique, interactive workshop rooted in visionary storytelling and collective imagination.

To start us off, Jay will offer a brief reading from his latest work, Sentient Being, as an example of collective world building, then shift into a collaborative worldbuilding session where participants co-create fictional futures that reflect the values, systems, and communities we long for.

Together, we'll explore how speculative storytelling can move beyond the page—becoming a tool for justice, healing, and real-world transformation.

No writing experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to dream together.
