Description

Learn how DC plans to improve its energy grid

Join GBCI and U.S. Green Building Council, in partnership with Urban Ingenuity, as we discuss how Washington D.C. looks to improve its energy grid through a renewed microgrid strategy.

Workshop: DC Leads the Way on Microgrids
When: Monday, July 11
Where: USGBC Headquarters, 2101 L St NW #500, Washington, DC

Throughout the day, hear from key decision makers and stakeholders within the energy sector on improvement methods including the Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal (PEER) rating system, a tool for developers, regulators, city agencies, energy companies, and owners as they assemble individual plans and larger citywide plans for energy systems.

We are proudly supported by Urban Ingenuity, advisor to other microgrid development efforts in the District of Columbia and Mid-Atlantic region and also currently exploring the feasibility of microgrids across the District in a study supported by the District Department of Energy and Environment’s Green Building Fund.
