Textile waste is a pressing issue that requires innovative solutions. This hands-on
workshop, organized by FAMA, aims to educate participants on sustainable textile practices by repurposing used 100% cotton garments and t-shirts into yarn. Through this process, participants will gain a deeper understanding of upcycling while engaging in a creative activity that celebrates both individuality and heritage.

Objectives:

  • Raise awareness about textile waste and its environmental impact.
  • Teach participants practical skills for repurposing old textiles into yarn.
  • Encourage sustainable creativity through hands-on learning.
  • Promote cultural heritage by incorporating traditional textile techniques.
