About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

I’m excited to announce my new paid live online workshop: The Parent’s Blueprint for a Transformational and Standout Summer

Over the past 17 years through our work at TeenSHARP, we’ve built deep expertise helping families create summer experiences that grow students exponentially—as leaders, scholars, and changemakers.

We’ve supported students in spending their summers:

  • Studying abroad in China, Morocco, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Latvia (for free!)
  • Attending elite programs like Yale Young Global Scholars, Carleton Liberal Arts Experience, The Telluride Association Summer Seminar, Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, etc.

Launching businesses, leading social change initiatives, and building the kinds of experiences and skils that make them competitive for college and for their future careersAs parents of three children (ages 10, 7, and 5), my husband and I have brought that same intentional, ambitious, and holistic approach to our own summers. Over the last few summers, our children have completed courses on African American History on Outschool, started business ventures and charitable campaigns, taken speed reading and language classes, and acquired new skills—from surfing to rollerblading, dance, and more. In this 90-minute live training, I’ll guide you step-by-step through how to create a summer that challenges, develops, and elevates your child, whether your child is in elementary school or entering senior year.

We’ll cover:

  • How the K-12 and higher education landscape has changed (and where it is lacking!)—and what that means for summer development and learning
  • How summer exacerbates learning loss and academic/leadership gaps—and how to mitigate that
  • How to create your own summer “family curriculum” rooted in your values and learning goals
  • Our “offseason assessment” tool: how to identify remediation, acceleration, and enrichment priorities
  • What a countercultural approach to summer looks like—the common myths that undercut a standout summer agenda
  • Family rhythms and routines that support true rest and intentional growth during the summer

Real examples of how to make summer a season of deep and joyful learning—with top programs, DIY leadership/learning project ideas, and enrichment experiences that unlock your child’s potential

Frequently asked questions

I'm not available at this date and time, will there be a recording?

Yes. We will send the full recording to registrants and you will have the opportunity to send any questions in advance that we will answer during the Q&A portion.

My children are in elementary school. Will the seminar content be relevant for me?

Yes! Tatiana has used the philosophy, systems, and enrichment ideas she will share during the workshop with her own children (ages 10, 7, and 5 ) for several years. She has also worked extensively with middle and high school age children through TeenSHARP and will tailor the content as needed.

Is it too late to apply some of the information provided given the summer has started?

No! Tatiana will share information that can be applied immediately and learning opportunities that you can create for your child(ren) this summer. It will also have value in the many summers to come!
