Papermaking with Cat Armistead - May 14, 2025

Cat is a mixed media artist, who incorporates movement in her work, referencing musical and topographic forms that mesmerize her. Her work includes large, cocoon structures made out of recycled plastic bags, steel and handmade paper sculptures, paintings, and one of a kind jewelry. Cat graduated from the Tufts University and SMFA dual degree program and has studied at Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and MassArt. Cat works out of her studio at Humphreys Street Studios and currently resides in Boston.

Bookbinding with Vic Ferreira Sardinha - May 21, 2025

Vic Ferreira Sardinha is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of printmaking and photography. They received their BA in Liberal Arts from Hampshire College with a concentration in Photography, Printmaking, and Political Theory. Born to immigrant parents and growing up in Western Massachusetts, the Boston based artist’s work has been heavily impacted by their obsession with connection. It began with their relationship to family and now extends to the broader conversations around romantic relationships and internet culture. Ferreira Sardinha has exhibited their work at the Hampshire Art Gallery in Amherst, MA , and Leica Art Gallery in Boston, MA. They have been awarded various grants including the Harris-Veit Artists' Grant, Elaine Mayes Fund, and the Greg and Toni Prince Award. Currently, Ferreira Sardinha is an MFA candidate in Boston University’s Printmedia and Photography program.

Collage with Anny Thach - May 28, 2025

A multidisciplinary artist and educator, Anny is a storyteller whose work centers inner narratives around politicized identities. Her experience as an educator with a diverse background encompassing health equity, special education, and creativity equips her to build community while empowering young people. As social responsibility remains important to her practice, she makes sure to create space for workshopping dialogues and stories to enrich the audience, but also the storyteller’s experience. This season of life, Anny is the design lead for “The School of Hard Feelings” in collaboration with The Design for Social Intervention (DS4I), which explores the courses of our inner world and celebrates the hardships in the lessons learned from it.
