Join us for "Playful Poppies in Watercolor." We will explore the vibrant world of these whimsical flowers through the versatile medium of watercolor. You'll learn simple techniques to capture the joy of poppies and their playful charm. Learn to infuse your paintings with delicate textures and intricate details, bringing these blossoms to life on paper.

Whether you're a seasoned artist looking to add new techniques to your repertoire or a beginner eager to explore watercolor painting, this workshop offers a hands-on approach to essential techniques. From understanding color palettes and brush techniques to selecting the perfect pigments and exploring different types of paper, you'll gain valuable insights and practical experience to enhance your artistic journey.

You'll leave with your very own 9"x12" watercolor painting of Poppies at the end of this class. I'll be there to guide you through step-by-step with my simple process of sketching, mixing a palette, then a final painting. A sketch can also be provided if you want to fast forward to painting!

About the Instructor:

Majoring in Illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design, I started my journey working as a textile designer for six years in Atlanta, GA. After lots of soul searching I jumped into a career of painting in 2013. I have been doing so full time since selling fine art, prints, and licensing my work.

The natural world is so beautiful and I hope my art is a reflection of that sentiment.
