We are pleased to announce a one-day workshop titled “Statistical Models and Methods for Real-World Applications”, taking place on 13 June 2025 at Technological University Dublin (Central Quad, Grangegorman campus).
This workshop brings together academic and industry experts from Ireland and abroad to discuss advances in statistical modelling and methodology. The focus is on techniques motivated by — and applied to — real-world challenges, with particular emphasis on biomedical and pharmaceutical research.
The event is particularly relevant to graduate students, early-career researchers, and academic staff, offering an excellent platform for learning, networking, and knowledge exchange.
Invited Speakers:
- Prof. John Hinde (University of Galway, Ireland): A Medley of Mixtures
- Prof. Geert Molenberghs (Hasselt & KU Leuven, Belgium): Evaluation of Surrogate Endpoints in Clinical Trials
- Prof. Jochen Einbeck (Durham University, UK): Statistical Modelling in Biological Dosimetry
- Prof. Claire Gormley (University College Dublin, Ireland): Bayesian Partial Least Squares for Predicting Milk Traits
- Dr. Reza Drikvandi (Durham University, UK): Nonlinear Mixed-Effect Models with Misspecified Random Effects Distribution
- Theodoulos Rodosthenous (Novartis): From Data to Decision: Levaraging multi-modal data in Clinical development
Registration is required and includes a registration pack, refreshments, and a sit-down lunch. The full programme will be shared with registered participants in advance of the event.
