I cannot thank you enough for helping me create the beautiful space we had in coming together, learning together, and sharing with one another today. I welcome you to share any take-aways with me as you apply some of what you learned today. If you love the book, I'd be grateful if you'd consider submitting an Amazon review with your take-aways and how you'll be applying the book! Good luck with your commitments! Please e-mail me at elician@gmail.com if you'd like to be added to our Nuggets of Wisdom e-mail list. There, I share updates and invitations to future book events, monthly ZOOM calls where all are invited to share and connect over favorite quotes and life wisdoms, and an entrepreneur MasterMind. Together, we inspire, empower, and embrace one another's unique experiences, diversity, strength, and positivity. Thank you again for sharing your precious time. You can also view my future event calendar and RSVP for future events anytime at https://www.facebook.com/elicia.nademin/events.

At a time when there's so much disconnection, let's talk skills for connecting intentionally & memorably in virtual and in-person worlds!

About this event

Hi friends! I'm Elicia, author of Don't Be a Stranger: Creating Connections & Memorable First Impressions in Everyday Life. I created this workshop to dive deeper into tips from my book on intentionally creating opportunities to connect more memorably and positively with others. I look forward to bringing the concepts to life thru your questions and discussion. You don't have to have read the book to benefit, but I recommend it! I want this to be a self-help book you read AND apply!

This workshop is Part 2 of a 3-part series on how to personalize strategies for deeper connection. We'll focus on why confronting fears and discomfort in talking to strangers can help you be more successful interpersonally. We'll review tips for where you position yourself (in life and virtually) to practice skills for connecting with others, strategies for remembering names, and "don't do's" to minimize awkward moments. Please come prepared to share a favorite memory of a time when you connected with a stranger and how as well as what gets in your way at times. We'll talk about my mantra, "Do It Scared, Do It Ugly, Do It Often" for overcoming fear through application of a psychological concept of systematic desensitization.

We have opportunities to connect with others anytime we engage in dating/relationships, job interviewing, work changes, promotions, networking, events, traveling, coffee shops, or simply at the gas station. Will you join me in detaching from the "why, what will it mean" to seeing 'talking to strangers' as a way of contributing to a kinder world one memorable moment at a time? Let's make it more fun and easy to talk to strangers.

You may order the book through your preferred bookseller or on Amazon for $9.99: https://amzn.to/2p04LQQ. Please share the event with anyone else who might enjoy being a part of the dialogue! Shucks, invite someone you'd like to know better, and let us do the heavy lifting with and for you. Your perspectives and contributions to the dialogue are priceless!

The ZOOM link for these free presentation/discussion will be available to those who RSVP. The cost of this 2-hour workshop is only $25.00 at this time. The workshop is FREE for those with the Promo Code sent to members of my Nuggets of Wisdom mailing list. I do ask that attendees order my book in advance of the event. You do not have to have read it in advance, but please have it to reference.
