About this event

Science & Tech • Other

Attention fleet managers, mechanics, economic developers and local government representatives! Did you know natural gas is produced in several counties in Southwest Virginia and is a great fuel replacement for diesel and gasoline? Living near the source could also mean significantly lower costs while promoting economic development for communities in this region.

VCC, the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, Virginia Tech’s Southwest Center, CNX, Diversified Energy, Enervest and EMats invite you to attend a special workshop highlighting Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) as a fueling option for fleets.

This will also be a great opportunity for local governments to learn about how they can prepare for increased use of natural gas and/or renewable natural gas and to learn how this domestic fuel can lead to cost savings and economic growth. Clean Energy is sponsoring a networking breakfast and Enervest is sponsoring lunch. We hope you’ll join us for a learning opportunity unlike any other!

When: Sept. 18, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: SWVA Higher Education Center, 1 Partnership Circle, Abingdon, Virginia

Cost: Free, with lunch included!
