Workshop: How to Introduce Yourself With Confidence At Work
Overview
NOTE: Workshop: How To Identify Your Professional Skills and Strengths, is a required pre-requisite for this workshop. You'll be directly building on what you did in that workshop, so make sure to sign up for that one first!
If you hate introducing yourself and describing what you do because you feel awkward, fake, or forced--this class is for you.
For so many high-performing professionals, self-promotion feels unnatural. You’re either trying to “perform” confidence, and feel awkward or arrogant touting your accomplishments, or, you revert to simply giving your job title and job duties, because you don’t know how to express who you are on a deeper level.
The great news is — this confidence gap is easy to close. Once you take the time to do the upfront work of figuring out how you want to describe yourself, everything changes.
You’re no longer scrambling for words, overthinking, or second-guessing how you come across.
You know exactly what to say — and that clarity makes you sound (and feel) confident every single time.
🌿 What You’ll Learn:
✅ The 2 specific elements of personal branding (hint--it’s not about “selling yourself”)
✅ Exact language and phrases you can use to talk about yourself clearly and authentically at work
✅ How to craft a short “backpocket blurb” — a 1–2 sentence way to describe what you do and what you stand for.
🧠 What You’ll Do:
Bring your notes from your Professional Strengths & Skills workshop — you’ll be building directly on that work.
You’ll:
✏️ Identify the common themes that define your professional identity.
✏️ Learn how to translate your skills and strengths into clear, relatable language.
✏️ Write and refine your Backpocket Blurb — your concise, confident way to introduce yourself.
✏️ Practice delivering it in a way that feels natural and aligned with your personality.
💡 You’ll Walk Away With:
→ A clear, authentic way to describe yourself at work (no more awkward scrambling).
→ A short, memorable “Backpocket Blurb” you can use in any professional setting.
→ A simple understanding of personal branding that replaces “selling yourself” with “showing up as yourself.”
→ A new level of confidence in how you’re perceived and how you represent yourself.
Once you have the words, the confidence follows — and introducing yourself stops feeling like pressure, and starts feeling like ease.
