Workshop: How To Identify Your Professional Skills & Strengths
Overview
If you’ve ever frozen when someone asked, “So what are your strengths?” — this workshop is for you.
Most professionals have far more skills and strengths than they realize.
The problem is, they rarely stop to name them — or they dismiss what they do well as baseline--“just part of the job.”
This workshop will help you identify your real professional strengths and transferable skills, even if you don’t think you’ve done anything especially impressive.
You’ll learn how to recognize the patterns that show what you’re good at, how to describe your skills in plain, confident language, and how to use this clarity in interviews, performance reviews, or career planning.
You’ll walk away not just knowing what you’re good at — but finally believing it.
🌿 What You’ll Learn:
✅ How to uncover skills and strengths you already use every day — even in ordinary tasks.
✅ How to talk about your abilities confidently without feeling like you’re bragging.
✅ How to reframe your experience so you can see what’s transferable and valuable.
✅ How to prepare for interviews, performance reviews, and career conversations with clarity instead of doubt.
🧠 What You’ll Do:
I’ll walk you through a simple yet powerful exercise that will help you think about your professional experiences in a different way, so you can see what skills you’ve developed that you may not have noticed. I’ll help you uncover your strengths, and learn to articulate what type of thinker you are in professional scenarios. This workshop will include live guidance and feedback.
✏️ What You’ll Need:
All you need to bring is a pen and paper, word doc, or other note-taking application on your computer. There is no pre-work for this workshop--I’ll guide you through everything live.
💡 You’ll Walk Away With:
→ A list of your top professional strengths and skills — specific, clear, and confidence-boosting.
→ The language to describe your value authentically in interviews, networking, or reviews.
→ A stronger sense of confidence in your own competence and contribution.
→ The ability to stop minimizing your work and start owning your expertise.
Note:
This workshop is a required pre-requisite for Workshop: How To Introduce Yourself With Confidence At Work, where you will come up with a short, powerful, authentic personal branding statement you can use in any professional situation. If you plan to attend that session, this one is your first step!
