Struggling to reach a writing goal, or want to add more writing time into your life? In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to create a regular writing routine. Join writing coach, Melanie Figg for a practical guide to begin building a sustainable writing practice. We’ll discuss obstacles to success, bust some myths that hold us back, and take note of some common pitfalls. Leave with a renewed commitment to your work and a strong plan to put in place!

Instructor Bio: Melanie Figg (MFA, CPCC) is an award-winning writer, as well as an inspiring writing mentor and certified professional coach. For over 25 years, Melanie has helped guide hundreds of writers, from beginners to published authors, to improve and submit their work, finish their manuscripts, rein in their inner critics, create sustainable writing routines, and most of all—express themselves and enjoy their writing lives. Melanie’s work has been published widely. She has been a regular workshop leader for the Gaithersburg Book Festival over the years and she currently teaches at The Writer’s Center and in private homes.
