The Alan B Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation & Maverc Technologies is excited to present Two interactive training workshops designed to give participants a strong foundation in defending against today’s evolving cyber threats. This program blends classroom-style instruction with hands-on application, offering attendees both the knowledge and practical experience to confidently step into Blue Team roles.
Day 1 participants will gain a solid understanding of the core principles of Blue Team operations, including defensive strategies, threat detection, log analysis, and incident response. The session will also introduce industry frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK Matrix, ensuring attendees understand not only how to defend but also how to align their efforts with recognized best practices.
Day 2 participants will put their learning to the test during a Mini Capture the Flag (CTF) exercise. This fast-paced, interactive challenge is designed to simulate real-world cyber incidents where participants must analyze, detect, and respond to threats under time constraints. The CTF provides a fun, competitive environment that reinforces Blue Team skills while demonstrating the value of collaboration and critical thinking in cyber defense.
Whether you’re a student exploring a career in cybersecurity, an IT professional transitioning into security, or a system administrator seeking to strengthen your defensive toolkit, this workshop will provide the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to take your cyber defense capabilities to the next level.
