Working Waterfront with Bill Gerencer

Join FHC and special guest Bill Gerencer on Thursday, July 24, at 7pm for a book talk on his new book, Working Waterfront. Mr. Gerencer’s memoir offers an insider’s view of the world of seafood from deck to dining table. 1 hour program including Q&A with the author.

About the author: Mr. Gerencer has 44 years in the New England Seafood industry with experience as a commercial fisherman, fish and seafood buyer, seafood sales, corporate trainer, and oyster farmer. Concurrent with these activities he have served on the Board of Directors of the Portland Fish Exchange, the New England Fishery Management Council (NEFMC) Groundfish Advisory Panel, the National Marine Fisheries Office of Sustainable Fisheries Highly Migratory Species Advisory Panel, the Jonah Crab Fishery Improvement Project and the NEFMC Research Steering Committee and the Northeast Trawl Advisory Panel.
