The Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) and partners (Department of Health (NI), Department of Health (RoI), Public Health Agency, Centre of Excellence for Public Health NI and the Health Service Executive) are organising a one day conference to share learning and facilitate discussion on what works in public health in Ireland, North and South.

Keynote speakers: Prof Kevin Fenton, National Director for Health & Wellbeing, Public Health England and Gerry Power, Programme Director for Co-production, Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland.

Parallel sessions will run throughout the day with twelve workshops covering a wide range of public health topics: Active Ageing, Children & Young People, Healthy Communities – Physical Activity, Wellbeing Services, Infectious Diseases, Participation & Public Involvement, Making Use of Research & Data, Healthy Eating, Mental Health, Healthy Workplaces, Alcohol, and Tobacco.

How much does the event cost?

This event is free.


What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is NO PARKING available at Chartered Accountants House however there are a number of public car parks in the city centre area all within a 10-15 minute walk.

Is it ok if the name registered doesn't match the person who attends?

Registration is not transferrable. In the event that you cannot attend please contact us to cancel, a new registration must be made if a colleague is attending in your place.

Can I bring organisational literature to the event?

Please do not bring any organisational literature to the event, unfortunately we cannot provide exhibition space for tables or stands. Please remember to bring a notebook and pen if you wish to take notes.

Will the presentations be made available after the event?

Yes the venue is wheelchair assessable throughout the building and also has the hearing aid loop installed in their equipment,


I have a dietary requirement, will I be accommodated?

IPH is committed to healthy eating and the lunch menu will reflect this.
