Overview

Join us for a working session about writing successful artist statements in partnership with Springboard for the Arts.

The Playwrights' Center is partnering with Springboard for the Arts to provide this working session to help theater artists create successful artist statements. The session will be a mix of presentation, writing prompts, and interactive workshop.

Interdisciplinary artist Dana Sikkila will lead this session.

The session will be held online via Zoom on Monday, November 17 from 6:00-7:30pm CST

Be sure to register early, as we have a limited number of spots available.

Dana Sikkila is a queer Minnesota-based interdisciplinary maker and creator, and is a workshop facilitator for Springboard for the Arts. Known for her social practice and activism programs, creative consulting, public speaking, and her theory development within creative curriculum, Sikkila's practices span from working in communities from rural to the Twin Cities. Her self-defining administration style has bridged the gap between arts creation and administration, through the development of numerous grassroots cultural projects and exhibitions throughout the state.
