Once registered, how can I access this event?

All registered participants will receive a confirmation email with Zoom webinar link so they can attend the event virtually. Participants can also use the Eventbrite "online event page" to access the Zoom webinar link.

Is the School an approved CEU Provider?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the School of Social Work at The University of Central Florida is an approved provider of continuing education (provider #50-12347, exp. 3/31/2027) by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.

Is the School accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the UCF School of Social Work  is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Some states accept CEUs from CSWE-accredited institutions. Persons licensed outside of Florida are responsible for verifying & following their states’ regulations regarding continuing education credits.

Question 4

How many and what type of CEUs can I earn?

You can earn 1.5 continuing education hour that is a 'general' (not ethics, laws and rules, etc.).

At this time, we are not able to offer credits for partial attendance.

Question 5

What is the process for earning CEUs and receiving a certificate of completion?

Step 1 of 2: once the webinar starts, complete the digital sign-in. Step 2 of 2:  near the end of the webinar, fill out the evaluation which will be shared during the q&a. Then, we'll verify both and send certificates within 30 days. For FL licensees, we'll also report to CE Broker within 30 days.

Can I request a certificate of attendance if I'm not earning continuing education units?

Yes! There are 2 steps you'll need to complete. Step 1: once the webinar starts, complete the digital sign-in. Step 2:  near the end of the webinar, fill out the evaluation which will be shared during the q&a. Then, we'll verify both and send certificates within 30 days.

I am licensed in Florida. When will my earned CEUs be reported to CE Broker?

Accepted Answer

Within 30 days of the event, we'll aim to cross check the attendance and completed evaluation records. Then, we'll report the earned credits to CE Broker.

Question 8

Do I need to be licensed to attend?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not need to be licensed. This event is ideal for social workers and other helping/non-licensed professionals who are interested in learning more about the webinar topic. Students pursuing social work and related degrees may also be interested in attending.

I am not licensed in Florida. Will my state licensing board(s) accept these CEUs?

Accepted Answer

Professionals licensed outside of Florida are responsible for verifying and following their states' regulations regarding continuing education credits.

I have not received my digital certificate and/or I have another need/question. Can you please help?

Can I receive a refund?

Accepted Answer

Please contact the organizer to request a refund.

If the refund request is received 4 days before the event, we can work to issue a refund. If the refund request is received 3 or less days before the event, we cannot issue a refund.

Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable.

Can I watch the webinar at a later date?

At this time, we are not able to offer this option. However, we do hope to offer more asynchronous options as our Center continues to grow its programming.
