Workforce in Motion Summit

By The Hub CoWorks

Overview

The 2026 Workforce in Motion Summit will connect middle and H.S. students with over 100 trade employers from across the state of Vermont.

Join us for this in-person event where middle and high school students can explore skills and careers in the trade fields and learn from a wide variety of professionals. Students will have the chance to learn about plumbing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, and a variety of other trades.

The 2026 Workforce in Motion Summit is presented by Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region and the Rutland Regional Planning Commission and hosted by Vermont State University.

At the summit, students will also have the opportunity to enroll in the Workforce in Motion Academy (WIM), a closed-loop workforce system designed to recruit, train, certify, and place participants directly into high-demand trades jobs.

The Workforce in Motion Summit represents a critical step forward in addressing Vermont’s trades workforce shortage, connecting education, training, and employers to build a stronger pipeline for the future.
