Networking & Interview Event

Join us for an exclusive networking and interview event connecting Central Ohio manufacturers with graduates of the WorkAdvance Manufacturing & Production Bootcamp. Program completers are prepared to step into entry-level roles, including:
- Manufacturing / Production Technician
- Machine Operator Assistant
- Entry-level Process or Assembly roles
- Maintenance & Facilities support roles
Registered employers will receive a curated student resume book via email prior to the event to review in advance. During the event, students will rotate through 1:1 conversations with employers for networking, informal interviews, and entry-level screening. Employers are encouraged to bring active job requisitions and/or share application links ahead of time to maximize engagement.
About the WorkAdvance Manufacturing & Production Bootcamp
The WorkAdvance Manufacturing & Production Bootcamp is an accelerated, 120-hour, eight-week training program designed to prepare new talent for entry-level roles across Central Ohio’s manufacturing and production sector.
Through a combination of hands-on labs, industry-recognized safety training, and professional skill development, participants build the foundational competencies required to succeed in modern, technology-enabled production environments.
Training & Skills Outcomes
Participants complete technical training aligned to manufacturing fundamentals, safety standards, measurement and quality practices, blueprint reading, and Lean methodologies. Learners engage in simulations, troubleshooting activities, and real-world production scenarios that build workplace readiness, teamwork, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills.
Graduates are prepared to:
- Work safely in manufacturing environments using OSHA standards, proper PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and perform basic calculations to ensure quality
- Read and follow SOPs, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Document work to support quality systems, including SPC fundamentals and inspection records
- Support Lean and continuous improvement efforts focused on waste reduction and efficiency
- Demonstrate professionalism, communication, teamwork, and job-search readiness
All graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) exam and earn OSHA-10 recognition.
Graduates bring skills applicable across a wide range of manufacturing sectors.
