About the WorkAdvance Manufacturing & Production Bootcamp

The WorkAdvance Manufacturing & Production Bootcamp is an accelerated, 120-hour, eight-week training program designed to prepare new talent for entry-level roles across Central Ohio’s manufacturing and production sector.

Through a combination of hands-on labs, industry-recognized safety training, and professional skill development, participants build the foundational competencies required to succeed in modern, technology-enabled production environments.

Training & Skills Outcomes

Participants complete technical training aligned to manufacturing fundamentals, safety standards, measurement and quality practices, blueprint reading, and Lean methodologies. Learners engage in simulations, troubleshooting activities, and real-world production scenarios that build workplace readiness, teamwork, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills.

Graduates are prepared to:

  • Work safely in manufacturing environments using OSHA standards, proper PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and perform basic calculations to ensure quality
  • Read and follow SOPs, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Document work to support quality systems, including SPC fundamentals and inspection records
  • Support Lean and continuous improvement efforts focused on waste reduction and efficiency
  • Demonstrate professionalism, communication, teamwork, and job-search readiness
