Arise® is a platform that connects independent contractors to well-known companies that need virtual customer support. You sign up as a Customer Support Professional (CSP) through a registered IBO like Azania Academy and choose which company you'd like to service.

Is this a real job or a scam?

This is a legitimate opportunity to work as an independent contractor. Arise is a respected platform used by Fortune 500 companies. You’re not an employee, but a business partner providing contracted customer service.

How much do I get paid?

Pay varies by client, but most opportunities range from $10 to $14 per hour. Additionally, Azania Academy pays out performance bonuses and incentives (when available) as part of your compensation.

Is there a fee to get started?

Yes, a background check fee (~$30) is required by Arise, and some clients may charge a certification course fee (usually $19–$99). However, there are many clients that do not charge a fee. Azania Academy does not charge a separate fee to join our IBO.

Question 5

What kind of work will I be doing?

You’ll be providing inbound customer service or tech support for major companies. No cold calling. No selling. You’ll assist customers via phone, chat, or email, depending on the client.

What is the schedule like?

You choose your own hours! Most clients require a minimum of 15–20 hours per week, and you schedule in 30-minute blocks. Weekend and evening shifts are available.

Do I need prior experience?

No, but strong communication skills and basic computer literacy are important. You’ll complete a client-specific training course before starting.

What equipment do I need?

Desktop or laptop (no Chromebooks/tablets)

High-speed wired internet

USB headset with microphone

Quiet workspace (no background noise)

We’ll send a full tech spec checklist after your session.

Question 9

Is this W-2 employment?

Accepted Answer

No. You’ll be working as a 1099 independent contractor. You’re responsible for your own taxes and will receive a 1099-NEC if you earn over $600 in a year.

How long does it take to start earning?

Accepted Answer

Once you complete registration, background check, and certification, you can begin servicing a client in as little as 3–6 weeks depending on the course length.

Can I work from anywhere in the U.S.?

Accepted Answer

Arise services are not currently available in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, or Wisconsin. All other U.S. states are eligible.

Who do I contact if I need help during onboarding?

As your IBO, Azania Academy will support you throughout onboarding, registration, and beyond. We provide one-on-one guidance, email support, and weekly check-ins.
