Join the Heart Galleries of Texas for their post-permanency best practice training on inclusive adoption language. This 1-hour training will provide knowledge and skills in best practices for working with children and families in foster care, adoption, and guardianship. This training is open to child welfare professionals working with families in foster care and adoption. This might include professionals working for the Department of Family and Protective Services, Single Source Continuum Contractors, CASA, post permanency agencies, child placing agencies and those providing mental health services. We hope to see you there! 1 CEU will be provided.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Increase understanding of inclusive adoption language.
  2. Explore the role that language has in relationships and identity formation.
  3. Recognize that adoption language is fluid and complex.
