About this event

Step into the Ice Age with author and illustrator Janet Brady at Ramsbottom Civic Suite on Saturday 11th October, 10:30am–12:30pm. This engaging family event brings to life Woolly’s Song, the story of a real Ice Age woolly rhino who once fell into a deep hole—and imagines what might happen if he returned today.

Children will explore themes of difference and acceptance through storytelling, drawing, and hands-on craft activities. Woolly is big, hairy, and has a bent horn—would people welcome him, or tell him to go back where he came from?

Packed with fun, facts, and creativity, the session also includes a book signing and a chance to learn more about this fascinating prehistoric creature. A heartwarming ending and a powerful message make this a memorable experience for all ages.
