What will I see on the open day?

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the cutting-edge Woodtek C1000 biochar unit in action, explore biochar field trials and water filtration systems, tour the feedstock processing equipment, and view the C1000 manufacturing hub in operation. Including presentations from BDC and Q&A sessions.

Do you offer separate morning and afternoon sessions?

Yes! We’re offering two sessions on the same day, so you can choose the one that suits you best. The morning session runs from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the afternoon session is from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Simply select your preferred session when booking.

Will refreshments be provided?

Morning session (9:00) kicks off with tea and coffee networking, a short break at 10:45, and lunch/networking from 12:00–13:30. Afternoon guests (13:00) are warmly invited to enjoy refreshments as soon as they arrive.

Visitors will see the BDC project using the Woodtek C1000 biochar unit, capable of producing over 800 tonnes of biochar per year (equivalent to over 2000 tCO2e) while generating up to 1.2mWh of renewable heat.

Biodyanmic Carbon is a joint venture between Carbon Hill and Shropshire Council. It is located at Woodtek's HQ where the Woodtek C1000s are manufactured, it is also the site of Carbon Hill farm.

Discover how biochar cleans water through a biochar filter, turning farm run-off into the local coldwater swimming hotspot.

Visit the biochar field trials, showing improved yields, enhanced drought resilience and leading soil microbiology.
