Woodshop - Lathe Orientation

Orientation to the wood lathe is intended for first-time wood turners and new Make-It Labs members who are interested in learning wood turning. In this one hour class we will cover operating the machines, safely mounting wood, and safey practices while turning. We will also go over the equipment avaialable for members, and some basic principels of wood turning. The goal by the end of the class will be for you to have an understanding of the equipment available to you and how to approach your first projects safely.

No prior experience needed. No materials are needed.

After the orentation, time premitting, the instructor will be avaialble for additional instruction or help on projects.
