Wood & Epoxy Charcuterie Board
Overview
In this class students will make their very own wooden and epoxy "Mini River" Table that can be used as a serving board, charcuterie board, or as a wonderful display piece of custom art. Students will be provided their own "river" shaped board for the class. The instructor will explain important considerations in selecting and prepping Live Edge boards. Students will then learn about various mold options followed by clamping their wooden pieces securely to a mold provided in class. Then the real fun stuff begins, students will mix up their own deep pour epoxy and choose from the many colors of pigment provided in the class. Students will pour epoxy into the molds and swirl their own unique designs in the epoxy. After the epoxy has cured and hardened, our instructor will then surface the boards to a thickness of around 3/4" thick. Students will be able to come and pick up their boards and finish them at home or they will have the option of paying a $35 classroom fee to come and finish their boards in the classroom on another date that works best for them.
