Women4Ocean(W4O)は、健康な海のために働く世界中の女性たちの架け橋となり、その活動をサポートし、増幅することを目的としたNPOです。世界的なネットワークを作ることにより、男性が占める割合の多い海洋関連の仕事に既に従事している女性たちをサポートし、コミュニティ意識・活動意識をたかめ、また、その他の女性には、海に纏わる仕事へのインスピレーションを与えられればと願っています。

2017年3月にロンドンで開催されたW4Oの初イベントに引き続き、今回のネットワーキング・イベントはアジアでは初となります。今回は、海洋保全から水産養殖業などの幅広い海洋分野で仕事をしている5人の女性をゲスト・スピーカーとしてお招きし、仕事の内容を紹介していただくと共に、その分野で働く女性として直面した困難についても話し合っていただく予定です。トークショー自体は短時間にまとめ、有意義な討論に時間を費やしていただくつもりです。イベントの始まりと終わりには、ネットワーキングのための時間を十分にとっております。また、出席者の中から10名程それぞれ2分くらいで簡単にお仕事についてお話しいただこうと思っています。ご興味のある方は、参加申込後、Women4Oceans@gmail.comにメールでお知らせください。会場では、ご自身のお仕事について文章3つくらいで簡単にお話しください。こちらのクイックトークはどなたでもご参加可能ですので、お早めにお問い合わせください。また、会場にはビデオブースを設置しており、こちらでもご自身のお仕事についてお話しいただけます。こちらで録画した映像はイベント終了後、特集ビデオとしてオンライン上でご覧いただけます。

スケジュール：

• 【午後7:30-8:00】開場、到着後ご自由にご歓談ください（ネットワーキング）。飲み物と軽食をご用意しています。ご希望の方はビデオブースで、インタビュー録画をご撮影ください。
• 【午後8:00-9:00】5人のゲスト・スピーカーによるトークと質疑応答セクション
• 【午後9:00-9:30】希望者による簡単な仕事紹介
• 【午後9:30-制限なし】歓談（ネットワーキング）。またこの時間を利用して、ビデオブースで、インタビュー録画をご撮影ください。バーカウンターは朝まで営業、お料理は午後10:30がラストオーダーです。

*会場は5:00から7:00の間ハッピーアワーがありますので、早めに到着できるようでしたらぜひお越しください。

海洋関連の仕事に従事している女性、またこの先、海洋関連の職に就きたいと望んでいる女性のみなさん、是非ご参加ください。スキューバダイビング・セーリング・サーフィンなどのマリンスポーツを職業としている方、海洋に関する政策・管理（政府関係者・NGO団体職員）などの分野で働いている方、漁業者、海洋科学者・海洋保全者、キャンペーナー・メディア、民間部門で働いている方、また、まだ学生の方でも、あなたの経験を共有し、志を同じくする他の女性たちに出会うチャンスです。特にまだ大学生の方は、海洋関連のプロフェッショナルたちと知り合い、話を聞くのに絶好のチャンスであるこのイベントをお見逃しなく。参加希望の学生は、当日学生証をお持ちください。学生割引チケットをご購入いただけます。

現在と未来の海のヒロインのみなさまにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

This will be the first W4O networking event in Asia after the kick-off event in London held in March 2017. We will have a panel of 5 women speakers working across a range of ocean topics from ocean conservation to aquaculture. These ladies will present an overview of their work as well as discuss some of the challenges they have faced working as women in their field. The presentations will be kept short so we can engage in meaningful discussions and leave plenty of room for networking at the beginning and end of the evening.

Further, there is an option for 10 attendees to present their work in 2-minute lightning talks to the audience. If you are interested in being selected as a speaker, please email us at Women4Oceans@gmail.com after registering and present yourself and your work in 3 sentences. Spot are given on a first come, first serve basis!

All women attending will also have the option to briefly present their work in the video booth set up as the event, which will be featured in the event video uploaded online after the event.

Schedule:

• 7:30-8:00pm: Guests arrive, option to Network and Vegan Tapas Buffet & Drinks are served. Option to have your interview filmed in video booth.
• 8:00-9:00pm: Presentations & Q&A Session
• 9:00-9:30pm: Lightning Talks
• 9:30pm-open end: Network & Mingle; The bar is open all night. Option to have your interview filmed in video booth and food can be ordered until 10:30pm.

Note: The venue has a happy hour until 7pm before the event starts and guests are welcome to come early to take advantage of it. Additional food and drinks that are not included in the ticket can be ordered anytime throughout the event.

We encourage ladies from all professional backgrounds who already work with the ocean or want to work with the ocean to come along. Whether you work in ocean recreation (scuba diving, sailing, surfing), ocean policy & governance (government, NGOs), fisheries, science & conservation, campaigning & media, the private sector or if you are still a student, please share your experience and meet other like-minded women this evening. We especially encourage university students to join the event to be inspired by others and network with ocean professionals. If you are a student and wish to join, you can take advantage of the student discount ticket price. Please present your student ID at the reception desk on the day.
