Women Shaping Dementia Care will feature a panel discussion with women experts in the field of dementia care, followed by a screening of the award-winning documentary Wine, Women & Dementia.
Wine, Women & Dementia offers a poignant and intimate look into the human side of dementia. Filmmaker and former family caregiver Kitty Norton, alongside her best friend Beth Rigazio, embarks on a cross-country RV journey to meet caregivers she first connected with virtually during her own caregiving experience. Along the way, these caregivers—meeting in person for the first time—share honest, humorous, and heartfelt stories of love, perseverance, and resilience. Through candid interviews, backyard “wine chats,” archival footage, and personal reflections, the film reveals both the heartbreak and the joy of life touched by dementia.
