Join Pattagensett Art Center and Spark Makerspace on September 3rd at the Lyman Allyn Museum for the culminating event of our Women in the Arts Series—a special panel moderated by Cristin Rivera from the Annex, featuring Suzie Ferras of the San Francisco Art Commission, emerging artist and organizer Aliyah Denea, New London based Artist and educator Katie Fogg, multidisciplinary international artist, designer and educator Soojin Kim, and New London artist Rebecca Fowke.This inspiring conversation will explore creative journeys, challenges, and the power of artistic expression. All are welcome to attend and be part of this celebration of women’s voices in the arts.

During our Women in the Arts panel celebration, PAC will recognize Jeanne Sigel as the recipient of our inaugural imPACt award. As the marketing and development director at the Garde Arts Center, Jeanne has been an Arts advocate for over 40 years. In addition, she curates the Garde lobby space with an exciting rotation of local, national and international Artists.

Throughout each year, the Lyman Allyn Art Museum offers special programming including exhibition openings, lectures, educational opportunities, and musical events for families and the general public.

The Lyman Allyn Art Museum is particularly proud of its commitment to provide art education and cultural enrichment to the youth of our region, with approximately 4,000 school children visiting the Museum each year. The Lyman Allyn collaborates with New London and southeastern Connecticut school systems to design art programs based on specific curriculum needs for students in grades pre-K through 12. The Lyman Allyn’s educational services also include special vacation and summer day camp programs for area children.
