Join WNPR (Connecticut Public Radio) for a 1-hour screening of the new PBS Documentary, Understanding the Opioid Epidemic, followed by a panel discussion hosted by WNPR's Lucy Nalpathanchil.  Hear from experts and be part of the discussion about this important issue.  

The discussion will be recorded for possible future broadcast on WNPR.

Event Schedule
6:00-6:15: Reception with hors d'oeuvres and beverages

6:15-7:15: Screening of Understanding the Opioid Epidemic
7:15-8:00: Panel Discussion, featuring:

  • Dr. Robert Heimer, Professor of Epidemiology and Pharmacology at Yale School of Public Health; member of the Connecticut Opioid Response team
  • Kelvin Young, Certified Recovery Advisor at Aware Recovery Care, Inc.
  • Sue Kruczek, Connecticut resident and mother
