Wiregrass Hike
Overview
The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann on a 1-mile hike through Wiregrass Prairie Preserve. Along the way, we’ll identify native plants and animals and discuss the key roles they play in this native Florida landscape.
** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. Waivers can be downloaded at Explore Volusia and completed ahead of time.
** Your GPS devices and phone apps may take you to an impassable road. Avoid any directions that take you to Boy Scout Camp Road. You will get stuck and tow truck companies may not come to pull you out.
