Join PhD student Ely Rendon for this hands-on workshop introducing the fundamentals of digital modeling and rapid prototyping through 3D printing. Participants will learn how to transform 2D sketches into basic 3D models using open-source software. The session will cover essential modeling techniques, file preparation, and the full 3D printing workflow, from slicing to machine setup. This practical and accessible introduction will teach participants how to turn digital designs into physical objects. Basic computer experience is required.
