WIOA Workshop (Free Medical Assistant Training)
Overview
If you live in any of the following counties—Cherokee, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, Rockdale, or in the City of Atlanta, Cobb, DeKalb, or Fulton—and you currently receive SNAP, TANF, unemployment, are under-employed (part-time only), or have been recently laid off, you may qualify to take our Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant programs for FREE through WIOA funding.
Our Medical Assistant course begin resume January 5th, 2026 — perfect timing to start your new year with focus and purpose!
During the workshop, you will submit your application for WIOA funding.
Please be sure to bring the following documents with you:
- Current Photo ID
- Utility Bill (proof of address)
- Social Security Card
- Proof of TANF, SNAP, or Unemployment
- Proof of Layoff (if applicable)
- Laptop (documents cannot be submitted by phone)
**PLEASE DO NOT COME WITHOUT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION!
What Are the Course Requirements?
- Take and pass an entrance exam with 75% or better
- I.D. Card
- Diploma/GED
- Social Security Card
- Hepatitis B Vaccine Record (Your primary care provider has a record of this or check your local health department)
Please note: The approval process typically takes 4–5 weeks to complete.
