Winter Sowing: hands-on workshop

By Whitpain EAC

Overview

Looking to increase your native plants presence? Participants will leave with 1 or 2 sets ready to put in your gardens/backyards.

Winter sowing is an easy, low-cost gardening technique where seeds are planted in recycled plastic containers (like milk jugs) and left outdoors in winter to experience natural cold stratification, germinating in spring when conditions are right, creating strong, pre-hardened seedlings without needing grow lights or heat mats, perfect for many perennials, native plants, herbs, and cool-season veggies.
