Winter Solstice Writing Workshop: Finding Light and Magic in the Dark
Overview
Join Sarah Kobrinsky for a generative writing workshop on the Winter Solstice. We will use various prompts to enter the long night and write our way through the dark. Everyone from seasoned scribes to total newbies welcome. This will be an opportunity to step away from the commercial frenzy of the holiday season and arrive into the stillness of your own voice.
M ore about Sarah:
Sarah Kobrinsky is the former Poet Laureate of Emeryville, CA. She is the author of Nighttime on the Other Side of Everything (New Rivers Press). Her poems and stories have appeared in Magma Poetry, Red Light Lit, Eleven Eleven, Monkeybicycle, *82 Review, 100 Word Story, Fjords Review, among many others. She was born in Canada, raised in North Dakota, seasoned in England, and tempered in California. Sarah and her husband have a handmade ceramic dinnerware company in the Bay Area called Jered's Pottery, where she hosts regular literary workshops and readings. She is also a folk dancer, a martial artist, and an aspiring polyglot.
