*Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice that uses props like blankets and yoga blocks to support the body in passive poses held for several minutes to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and facilitate a deep state of rest.
** Yoga Nidra is a guided, multi-stage relaxation/meditation practice that guides practitioners to that sweet spot between wakefulness and sleep. This liminal space is the alpha state – a slow brain-wave pattern characterized by relaxed awareness.
