The Winners’ Circle Inc., founded by Madam Justice Barbara Cooke-Alleyne and funded by The Maria Holder Memorial Trust, is in the seventeenth year of its 11-Plus Programme, ‘In the Winners’ Circle: Making the Right Choice!’. This programme aims to sensitize students who have completed the Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examination to the challenges which may confront them as they make the transition from primary to secondary school.
To further enhance and strengthen the support offered to students, our programme includes two workshops specifically targeted towards parents and caregivers of those children making this transition.
Each interactive one-day workshop is led by an expert panel and offers a wealth of insight into some of the challenges your child may face as they enter their new school environment. Topics include: Making The Transition to Secondary School, Your Child and Subtances, Emotionally Intelligent Parenting, Parenting in the Digital Age and You, Your Child and the Law.
