The winner of the prestigious 2025 San Francisco Comedy Competition hosts is first headlining gigs since winning! Honolulu, Hawaii comedian, now based in San Francisco, actor, and personality, Shawn Felipe is known for his laconic and clever real-life stories as they expand internationally. His live stand-up comedy stretches around the globe from the USA to countries overseas such as Singapore, Canada, Japan, Korea, and the Middle East.

Shawn’s stand-up comedy has been featured on various international networks including WorldAsia TV, AZN TV, IA TV, TFC Channel, Sprint Comedy, Time Network, and National Lampoons Comedy Radio. Shawn has also been a guest star on NBC’s cop TV show series “Hawaii” and has been on several national commercials, Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race!” for two seasons. He has filmed a Feature Film, “Dota 2 Underdogs Rising,” that is in post-production. Sean starred in his first comedy special on DryBar Comedy in 2022, “Man Baby”.

SHAWN FELIPE

Shawn Felipe is a Honolulu-born, San Francisco–based comedian whose sharp, real-life humor has earned him international recognition. In 2025, he won the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, a career-defining honor previously won by comedy legends like Dana Carvey and Robin Williams. He has toured with Jo Koy on the Breaking the Mold tour, performed at more than 200 colleges, and headlined for U.S. military bases and cruise lines around the world. His first DryBar Comedy special, Man Baby, showcased his wide-ranging appeal to audiences across generations and backgrounds.

Felipe’s credits also include guest-starring on NBC’s series Hawaii, national commercials, and two seasons of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race, where he and Team Aloha Plate took home the win. His comedy has been featured internationally on WorldAsia TV, National Lampoon’s Comedy Radio, and more, with stages spanning Singapore, Japan, Canada, Korea, and the Middle East. With his recent competition win and a track record of connecting with audiences everywhere, Shawn Felipe continues to carve out a career rooted in both authenticity and versatility.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The club is a daring new project co-owned by Stroy Moyd, Johnny Funcheap and Ludo Racinet.

Stroy Moyd The Oakland native is not only the founder of HellaFunny, the biggest comedy producer in the Bay Area, but has a stellar stand-up career with multiple headling appearances at Cobb's Comedy Club, SF Sketchfest, NYC's Comedy Cellar and tours of Hawaii, Asia and Europe. Stroy has opened for the likes of Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, the Wayans Brothers, Hannibal Burress and more. He is a 3-time winner of the Fresh Faces Comedy Competition at the LaughFactory in Hollywood, CA. A distinct voice in the Bay Area comedy scene, Stroy Moyd appears on the hit STARZ’s series, Blindspotting and went viral with features on ABC, NBC, TechCrunch and Vox for his popular web series “Rideshare The Love.”

Ludo Racinet, a native of Paris, France, moved to California at the age of 18. His first entrepreneurial start up was in the organic ginger juice business, selling to all local heath food stores. In 2000 he opened the Tunnel Top, in 2008 Madrone Art Bar, in 2015 Bar Fluxus. And now, he creates The Function. He's known for creating bars that add color and spark to the San Francisco nightlife scene, along with creating inventive cocktails and an extensive curated wine selection.

Johnny Funcheap is the founder of Funcheap.com, a trusted staple of the San Francisco events-discovery landscape for more than 20 years. Funcheap is a San Francisco-based site which uncovers and shares curated recommendations of upwards of 100 cheap, fun and unique Bay Area events each week. Funcheap has a dedicated email following of 140,000+ and has been featured on KQED, ABC7, Wirecutter, The Bold Italic, San Francisco Magazine, 7x7, CBS, SF Gate, SFist, Frommer's, KGO, The Examiner and SF Weekly.
