Wings Over Water: Discovering Waterfowl with the ADCO Rangers

Join Ranger Kurian on an interpretive hike to the confluence, where the Clear Creek and South Platte River meet. We will identify local waterfowl, talk about waterfowl adaptations and river ecosystems. Please come prepared with water, sunscreen, bug spray and binoculars (if applicable). Limited binoculars and waterfowl identification books will be provided. All ages welcome!

Location: Engineer Lake Parking lot located at 224 E of Platte, Thornton, CO 80229

Time: 8:00am-11:00am

Participants: 15 maximum

Audience: All ages, guardians must accompany participating youth

  • Adults required for youth participation

Suggested Gear: Water, sunscreen, snacks, proper clothing
