The Urban Bird Collective is hosting our second annual gala! This year's theme is "Wings of Unity: A Celebration of Nature and Inclusion." We hope you'll join us in celebrating the UBC and supporting our work and mission.

We'll have food, nature walks, a silent auction, costume contest, and more...

Feeling creative? Gala attendees are invited to wear a bird-themed costume, or make one at the event, and enter the cosumte contest to win a prize.

The Urban Bird Collective (UBC) is a Black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC)-led environmental stewardship organization founded in 2018 to promote outdoor recreation and healing for all, with a focus on BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Our vision is to empower individuals to learn bird identification and gain appreciation of natural spaces by offering guided nature walks.

What is Dodge Nature Center?

Dodge Nature Center is a nonprofit organization on 460+ acres of nature preserve within the cities of West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, and Cottage Grove. The nature center provides environmental and agricultural experiences for thousands of people every year through school and public programs.

Do I have to wear a costume?

Costumes are totally optional, but encouraged! Last year's gala featured everything from full costumes to bird-themed accessories. We'll also have a station for making costume pieces at the event.

What items will be in the silent auction?

We'll share the full list closer to the event. Last year's auction items included birding and other outdoor gear, tickets to local events and experiences, among others.
