Event description

Description

3GNY in association with Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion present
Wine, Cheese & A Book, Please
Featuring Courtney Tisch ("The Number on her Arm") and Felice Cohen ("What Papa Told Me") and the art exhibition "Evil: A Matter of Intent"

Join 3GNY for a laid back, interactive discussion and wine & cheese reception (all food and wine is Kosher), as we listen to two 3GNY authors share their experiences gathering their grandparents stories and documenting their family history. If you've ever been interested in writing and/or publishing your family story, or just interested in hearing segments from two very different memoirs read and discussed, this event is for you.

Also included in the event is entry to the brilliant art exhibition currently on display at the Hebrew Union College Museum "Evil: A Matter of Intent".

Courtney Tisch is a writer and educator from Washington, DC. "The Number on Her Arm," her first children's book, was written and published due to the strength, endurance, and selflessness of her grandparents who were both Holocaust survivors.

Author and Holocaust educator Felice Cohen's first book "What Papa Told Me," endorsed by Elie Wiesel and Yad Vashem, has sold over 30,000 copies worldwide. Her next book “90 Lessons for Living Large in 90 Square Feet (or more)” is coming out Spring 2016. www.felicecohen.com
